Why does my new home need an Architectural Inspection?
With the building boom going on in our area many contractors are taking short cuts during the building process. There are proper ways to install door and windows that will keep the water out of your home, and there are shortcuts that can be done to make your windows and doors seem waterproof – but not over any great length of time.
There are proper ways to install roofing to keep water out of your home for 30+ years – or there are shortcuts that can be done to make the roofing process a little bit cheaper and go faster. The homeowner is the one that pays later while the contractor benefits now. Costs saved during construction are not passed on to the homeowner but instead recognized by the contractors.
If your home was built sometime in the past 15 years then you should get an Architectural Inspection done. This is point out any construction defects and give the homeowner the power to go back to the contractor and have them pay for construction defect repairs.
Pacific Exteriors NW can provide you with an Architectural Inspection and we can also fix any damages found. We are a neutral third party that has no benefit to not fixing your home to current standards. If you find the construction defects in a reasonable amount of time you can go back to the contractor (if they are still in business) and have them pay for the repairs.
